Friends of the Library Used Book Sale
Each Labor Day Weekend, the Friends of the Yorkville Public Library hold our annual Used Book Sale. This year, the sale will begin at 9am on Saturday, August 31. On Saturday the doors will close at 4pm. Sunday, September 1, the sale will be open from 10am-3pm.
The Friends will have hundreds and hundreds of books for all ages and in all genres available for sale.

What is it?
The Library Road Trip is a collaborative program shared among 21 different libraries in the Chicagoland area and suburbs that encourages all members of our communities to explore other libraries around you!
How does the program work?
Pick up a Library Road Trip passport at any of the participating locations on or after March 23rd. Get your passport stamped at each location you visit. When you have completed your road trip, submit your passport to YOUR HOME LIBRARY for chances to win a grand prize from your home library on or before April 30th. Passports will not be accepted after April 30th. Participants must be present to have a passport stamped. Token souvenirs will be given out at each library while supplies last.
At the Yorkville Public Library, kids will receive a YPL flying disk!
We also will have a guest book available for you to sign!

Everyone, the more the merrier!
What is a Passport?
Like a real passport, your Library Road Trip Passport is your encouragement to transcend boundaries, widen your horizons and visit foreign lands! Make sure to get your passport stamped at every location you visit, and take a look around at what our neighbors have to offer. Token souvenirs will be given out at each library while supplies last.
How Do I Enter to Win a Grand Prize?
Visit as many libraries as you can, and get your passport stamped at each location. The more libraries you visit, the better your chances. Turn in your passport at your home library before or on April 30th and collect tickets to enter for the gift basket drawing. Passports will not be accepted after April 30th.
Ticket range is as follows:
If you have:
1-5 stamps = 1 ticket
6-10 stamps = 2 tickets
11-15 stamps = 3 tickets
16-17 stamps = 4 tickets
